Respect and Responsibility!

Think about yourself during the "don't touch me activity" when sharing your answers. (responsibilty) Did you take personal responsibilty for your actions during the activity, explain yourself? (respect) Where you open to solutions that were different from your own? If yes give an example. If no then why not?

  1. I think I did take responsibility for my actions during the activity, I did what I had to do and if at any point there was confusion I asked my neighbor for help or I helped my neighbor. Personally I think I am an open minded person and like when my classmates have an idea that might work, why not go for it. In this activity doing the two lines was a good idea and also doing the end point thing. If something sounds like it might work, might as well try it out and see the results from that.

  2. I think i did take responsability when doing the activity. If i didn't understand something i asked either the person to my left or the person to my right or just anybody who understood what we had to do. I listen to whoever came wih the idea and follow his/her instructions. I honestly am always open to anybody's opinion because we might have the same idea or that person's idea and my idea can come together and make it work. I was listening to each students idea and all of them were good but i think the two lines might work out better we just have to be faster at it.

  3. I think I was okay. Yes, I was confused so I did ask some of the kids around me. I wasn't being open minded because I had know idea how this thing could work? I always listen to what they have to say and if I understood it then I would explain to others on how it worked. For those who were open minded I think you guys came up with awesome ideas. The only change I think should have happend for those who didn't come up with anything like me I believe we should have given some effort into this class activity and not be lazy. Yes, I will tell you that there are days where I don't want to do anything because I'm tired or sick or just plain old lazy, but that's no excuse. So for those who are giving it their all. Good Job and keep it up.

  4. I think I was. Yes I was because I knew who was my partner was in the activity. I was looking at the another kids by me that were talking about what to do and how it going to work for the activity and we tried to do for the time but we did your best and tried. Good Job to everyone in the gym class we all tried your best. We have a chance to beat your score in activity

  5. I think I was at times. A lot of the times I was able to be open to all the different ideas and sometimes put in my own input. However, as the game progressed and we all got frustrated or annoyed..or just losing focus with the group. I think I kinda lost my own responsibility to stay focus and really respect everyone sharing ..instead of just going along with it. I think I should have been more respectful to people talking and more responsible forwhat I was doing during. (like not talking..or not reallyyyy listening toeveryone's input)

But I also..did put in my ideas..tried to getthe group back at tiimes..

I think as a wholeour gym team can do this and get through this. This is one bump out of the many challenges to come!

  6. I think I was responsible. I asked people around me what was going on when I was confused. I also listened intently to peoples ideas, and was very open minded thinking about the possible new ways we could get across the circle. We may not have beaten the other class, but we went a long way from the beginning. Not just in time, but by cooperating and working with each other.

  8. I think I did take responsibility because if I didn't know who I was trading spots with, what place I went to or if I didn't get what plan we were going with to decrease our time. I would ask the person next to me or raise my hand to tell them I didn't get what we were doing. I think I was okay to open the solutions that were different from mine. when someone made up an idea I listened to them and thought about it if it will work or not. if I thought the idea wouldn't work I would tell the person next to me, so someone would make up a different idea. I think as a class we came really far but we did get frustrated in the end. we started with a 1.15 and ended with 15sec I think thats really awesome. I will agree that I wasn't listening to what others where saying but most of the time I was listening and doing what I was suppose to.

  9. i think i took responsibility in the beginning trying to get everyone to know who their partner was and trying out a way to just get to the other side, not necessarily fast, just to see if we could get it done. in the end i just realized what i had to do and let the group decide on a way to do so and i would tell them my thoughts about it or how to fix it. i think as a group we could have been more patient and added more ideas. as a class i think we did well considering the time difference from the beginning and the end. since we know were improving, if we went on i feel like we could have maybe even beat the other class it was just that a lot of people keep getting frustrated and they were giving up.

  10. I think I took some responsibility... My tendency is to get really attached to a project, even if it's just a game like this was. I tried to help my neighbors understand what was going on, because I really wanted to get better and better. I wasn't so good at accepting other people's ideas. I was getting annoyed, especially at the end of the period and the second day of the activity. While I thought that we could have improved a lot, I thought that we could have done better, but I think that we did a good job of following the rules of the game and achieving a good time.

  11. I think i took my own responsibility, do i think i could have done better? yes. i thin k all of us could have done better. i do admit that at times, i just clocked out because it was getting way to confusing and absolutely nobody was listening and we were all having out own conversations. As for the accepting other people ideas, i just did whatever i was told. I just feel like at a point, everyone was getting frustrated and just wanted to give up.

  12. I think I took responsibility by presenting some ideas and explaining what was going on to people who didn't understand. I was open to other solutions, but sometimes I didn't hear them or wasn't listening as well as I could have been because of the confusion and everything. But overall, as a class, I think we did a pretty good job.

  13. i didn't take full responsibility for my actions, because the ideas that i thought were good were other people's. i supported and encouraged people who had ideas for the game. i was open to other people's ideas because whnever someone would say one, i would be opt to try it even if i thought it would go awry. i don't think many people got upset, i thought we did a pretty good job. the only reason people wanted to give up was because our ideas weren't working and no one else could come up with somethinhg. we got a really good time and im proud of our class :D

  14. Yes, i think i took responsibility for my actions by giving possible ideas, and working off of others idea, and trying to figure out what would work. And, yes I was open to solutions from other classmates. But after the activity I did realize, that if one person isn't on board with what the group is doing it can change the whole plan around. As a group we all have to work together, and work off each others ideas. And we all need to agree and understand on what the course of action will be.

  15. Yes, I admitted to the group for touching someone. I got upset because everyone was talking over each other. I listened to everyone's opinions but soon gave up because I didn't care anymore. We had some fights but they were resolved. All in all, I think we tried our best to get the shortest amount of time and that's what matters.

  16. Yes, i took responsibility by following what some of the ideas were and encouaged people with their ideas. i was open to everyone's ideas and tried my best when they were being exicuted. There was a lot of confusion and i tried to explain it when people asked. I think we did an awesome job with this activity and even though we didnt get under ten seconds, we still cut our time down a lot.

  17. I feel that I took the responsibility by cooperating and following the instructions as they were given. I was open to following other people's directions. When someone suggested that we all move to our ending spots, I quickly agreed because it seemed like a good idea to try. I figured the more brain power, the better.

  18. I feel like I took responsibility by cooperating and adding in my own suggestions during the activity and helped explain how to do some of the ideas. I feel like I was pretty open to all the suggestions that were given out and tried my best to try each idea out. When each plan was given like the right angle idea I was open to trying out anything that would help our class make progress.

  19. I feel that the class did a good job from the first time to the ending time. We cut our time down a lot. Something we need to work on is communicating with the whole class and sharing your idea and being loud about it. We need to be more organized and cooperate with eachother. PROPS TO UNICE for the good idea to cut our time in half.

  20. I feel like I took responsibility during certain parts of the activity. I never gave my ideas to the whole class but I would tell the people around me my ideas and they would try to get it across to the group. I think thats something that I could work on is to voice my opinions and thoughts more so the whole class can know. I think I was open overall to the ideas that were brought to the group because we never knew what would really work unless we tried it. I was proud of our classes determination and the time we got.

  21. I think I took responsibility. I tried to speak up and give possible ideas that could work. I was definitely open to other solutions and ideas. I, at first, stayed back and just observed and listened to others' ideas and tried to think about how they would work like after we tried organizing my idea, someone else spoke up an additive to that and I said that it might have been a better decision.

  22. I believe I did take resposibiltity for my actions. When I had an idea I spoke up and let others hear my idea's. I felt as if the class was pretty open to any ideas. Although we never got under ten seconds we were still determined and had what I thought pretty good teamwork skills.

  23. Yes, I think I took responsibility when doing the activity. I listened to what classmates say and perticipated on what we should do. I personally think I am open to hear any ideas and opinions to solve the problem. The ideas of this activity were pretty good but it was hard to shorten the time. We can make good teamwork and I want to try my best as I could.

  24. I feel like I did take responsibility while doing this activity because I cooperated with the rest of the group and listened to others' ideas. I was open to the different suggestions that the group made and tried to understand how they could work. I think as a class we did a great job in cutting down our time!

  25. I did take personal responsibility during the activity because I was hasteful in getting to my spot across the circle and also sitting down. I was open to other solutions because I respect other people's way of thinking. If it was an idea that wouldn't work efficiently, I would argue against that idea. I was open to the idea of going from our spot and back to our spot because that was a great idea.

  26. I took responsibility for my actions during this activity. some of the people in the class were not willing to say stuff too loud so I tried to listen to people around me and their points across to the whole group. Also I think that we all worked really hard to cut our time down and Im pretty sure everyone was pleased to get 15 seconds.

  27. I took some responsibility for my actions during this activity, but I admit I gave up some of the time too. People were talking all at once and it was hopeless to get a better solution. Plus I was happy with the time we got as a class because we worked hard to get the time that we finished with.

  28. I took responsibility for my actions most of the time by listening to other peoples ideas and if I didnt agree with someones ideas I'd tell people around me. I thnk as a class we did an ok job communicating the best ideas. Some people were confused, which took up time to try explaining to them what to do.
