Gyro Scope & Adventure Trait You are working on

Good work today, let us know what your group went through while doing this activity. Second part that is connected to the peer and self evaluations we did last week. I asked you to look at your evaluations and choose a trait that needs work, what is that trait and what did you do this week that developed or enhanced this trait? (efficacy, trust, reflection, responsiblity, self esteem, modeling, empathy, communication, problem solving, collaboration)

  1. my group was trying to have kara do a successful backflip without spilling, and it worked. She help the cup to her mouth and it didnt really spill. my trait would be self esteem because i dont climb all the time and i think its because of being judged. I went to outdoor adventure club and climbed with people from our class.

  3. In my group we picked up kara and did a back flip with the cup to her mouth. I think we had good teamwork because alot of us came up with small ideas to make it succsessful. My trait is communication I feel that I need to work on communicating a little better.

  4. In my group we picked up Kara and flipped her over while she held the cup to her face. It worked. Then we tried flipping Katie over while she held the cup against her, but it didn't work very well. My trait to work on was trust. So I climbed the wall blindfolded and jumped of the ledge. I can still work on my fear of heights though quite a bit.

  5. My group picked Christina and Jack to be flipped. First was Jack he wanted to do it and he actually did it we had Eunice and Pat to be sort of kneeling down on the ground while jack layed on top of them face up and Jessica, Christina and Maggie helped him flip over while he had the cup on his hands and i help him do the complete turned. Second was Christina, we had Maggie and Jessica lay on the ground while Christina roll down me and Eunice had to grab her from the belt and help her flip while jack and Pat helped her get up she was holding the cup to her mouth. My trait was that i needed work on my communicating skills and im still trying to work on that.

  6. My group tried to flip me, but it did not work. The way we tried to do it made me flip too fast so the water would have spilled out. I did not do anything this week that helped the trait of mine that was the lowest. I do not think that the trait will get better becasue of this class. I was disappointed that my group and I could not figure out how to flip me.

  7. In my group, Kara put the cup to her mouth and did a back flip. It was successful! I need to work on communication more in my group. I try to tell my ideas more in my group.

  8. In my group, we flipped Jack and Christina. We had a few ideas and we tried them out first without the cup, then with the cup, then with the water. I think this method was good for trying out ideas that might not work initially but would work after we changed a few things. I have to work on being nice and trying to climb more. I trust my group, and I'm trying to be nicer to them :) I've been trying t participate more when we climb.

  9. During the activity, everyone participated in making suggestions. We all agreed on what was best and we stuck with it. In my group, we flipped Brenda once. That was fun and she did an amazing job. We really worked together and had a lot of cooperation. My trait was efficacy. I'm more efficient and we don't spend a lot of time hanging around.

  10. In my group, we discussed what is the best way not to drop the water and flip Hana safely. I participated on telling my ideas. When we did the group evealuation, i learned that i have to tell more feelings and emotions to my group members. so, from now on, i would communicate more with them and corporate on climbing!!

  11. Our group decided to flip Hannah, we worked together to try and come up with ideas. Even though our plan didn't work I still think we had a good idea.
In the activity from last week, I learned that I need to work on efficacy, and I think I just need to believe in what I do and have the ability to accomplish so much!

  12. My group had a really fun time doing the activity. It was hard to be creative and innovative, but it was fun and we worked together to come up with an idea~!

My trait was self-esteem. I realized that I really have low self-esteem and that I am very critical of myself. I hope that I can be more acceptive.
I thought it was interesting to do the evaluation. I think it was a good way to know exactly how I am towards my group..and what I can improve on for this class as well.

  13. It was hard at first figuring out what we would do so that no water would be spilled. I rememeber we worked together and were having trouble coming up with a second way after having gone first.

My trait was trust. I let other flips me, despite the risk of falling. I have a hard time trusting others and that really helped to challenge that and improve on it.
